Shibui is one of my absolute favorites! The ambiance is unique and intimate, especially with the option to sit on the floor for a more traditional experience. It makes dining here feel extra special. My boyfriend and I love this spot and enjoy trying different dishes each time we visit. This time, we ordered two rolls and two appetizers. The sashimi appetizer was outstanding. High quality, incredibly fresh, and absolutely delicious. The crispy tuna rice was also great, though it had a slightly powdery texture around the rice that I couldn't quite place. That said, the flavor was still excellent. As for the rolls, they were all solid, though we weren't big fans of the Tomo roll, but that was on us for not reading the ingredients more carefully. Service was good. Nothing spectacular, but no complaints either. Everything came out in a reasonable time, and the staff was polite. Overall, this is such a chill, consistently delicious spot that never disappoints. Always a great experience, and I can't wait to come back every time!
I had no been here in years and a friend suggested coming here for dinner. Honestly, I was so impressed! The service was impeccable, our waitress was amazing, very attentive and with great suggestions. The restaurant is the same as before, normal sitting downstairs and floor seating upstairs with pillows. We opted to sit upstairs! All of the food was delicious! The phoenix roll with the jalapeños was definitely my favorite as I had never really had anything like it. I highly recommend!
Shibui has been around since my college days! They're a consistent local neighborhood spot in Kendall for sushi. Service is always great. Take out orders are easy as well. I recommend the Phoenix roll - must have!

Sitting at the sushi chef bar is always a fun choice (and pro tip: the food comes out faster!). It's a classic spot that never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Shibui is one of my favorite sushi places to come to. Their sushi is fresh and delicious. I noticed this time that they had made a few upgrades to the restaurant! They added more lighting and upgraded their menus! Now they look more fancy and schick. I sat at the sushi bar this time and got helped by Richard. He is the best sushi chef there! Always attentive and friendly.
Every single time I come here, the experience is amazing. Came with a group of 6 so naturally service took a bit long on a Saturday night, but Yumi made sure to bring items out as they've ready. We ordered a plethora of food but some stand outs for me were the tuna sandwich, hamachi, phoenix roll, and bagel roll. I personally had the volcano roll which I feel came with way too much volcano sauce but that's a personal preference. The ambiance is great especially the experience sitting on the floor. Shibui is a Miami gem!
I have struggled to find a good Japanese/sushi spot in the southwest Miami region for a while. If I find something that's good, it's like the quality only lasts so long. Shibui is where it's at! Their fish quality is exceptional. Their service is great - kind, attentive and fast. The ambiance feels awesome. It's nicely decorated and for those who want that traditional Japanese dining feel, floor seating is fun. I had the salmon cucumber roll (rice-less and wrapped in seaweed and cucumber), jalapeño yellowtail with ponzu sauce and vegetable tempura. All fab! This will be my go to spot!
